As of July 2018, Gusto is now the preferred payroll provider by Xero across the entire United States. This follows the mission to expand Xero’s suite of solutions within the U.S. market.
“We’re partnering with Gusto because we have a shared vision for building innovative new solutions that help small businesses and accountants thrive in the new economy,” comments Xero Americas president Keri Gohman.
“We’re both born-in-the-cloud companies working to build software that makes complicated business tasks more simple and human. By joining forces, we can help more small businesses and accountants find long-term success.”
What does this partnership mean for Xero subscribers? United States subscribers to Xero will be able to have local, state, and federal taxes paid and filed automatically. Along with those services, Gusto will integrate human resources for workers’ compensation, health insurance, and retirement planning.
According to Gusto Chief Operations Officer Lexi Reese, “We first began our partnership with Xero five years ago and, since then, they have quickly become one of the most popular integrations on Gusto. We are confident that together we can help business owners manage the back-office complexities that can distract them from growing their companies.”
Some of the additional Xero features will include:
- Single Sign-on
- Cash Flow Management
- Accountant Collaboration
- Automation - artificial intelligence to reduce repetitive tasks of running a business
- Shared ledger - connection to over 700 small business application for full visibility
The team here at Bookkeeper360 is very excited about this new partnership announcement. “This partnership allows all Xero clients to have a full-service payroll provider where compliance is automatically handled. Xero will now be able to continue to make their platform even better without having to focus on payroll advancement,” said Nicholas Pasquarosa, founder and CEO of Bookkeeper360.
The assimilation for the companies will be expected to be fully operational by early 2019. Xero has 1.4 million subscribers in over 180 countries while Gusto serves over 60,000 companies and has offices in San Francisco and Denver.
